Let's keep making history!
For the 3rd year in a row,
The Gertsburg Law Firm and The
Chagrin Valley Chamber of Commerce
are teaming up for a one-of-a-kind
essay contest. This year, 6000 students from 7 high schools will try to solve a
real-world problem in a well-written essay.

results of last year’s contest.
Congratulations to the 2018 We Solve Problems Finalists and Winners!
Each of these essays were evaluated by at least 8 businesses and community leaders who volunteered to serve as judges. Finalists’ essays selected a relevant problem, presented a logical and practical solution to that problem, supported it with evidence, and communicated it all clearly and effectively.

WINNERS
Hi folks.
Have you noticed that we’ve been quiet about this year’s We Solve Problems Essay Contest? Here’s the latest news: The We Solve Problems founders addressed school districts from across the state at the annual OSBA Capital Conference this week. In other words, we’re spreading the word, and telling our story about how a small contest between 2 local schools with 1,300 eligible students has grown in three short years to a much broader competition involving 7 school districts with 6,000 eligible students, and it’s going to keep growing. We have big plans for this contest and expanding it this way will demand more time to implement than was required for past contests. For this reason, we have decided to pause the contest for one year and focus our energy into growing and improving this incredible experience.
Your support has been indispensable over the past few years, and we look forward to your continued support and participation. By next fall, we plan to introduce the 2019-2020 We Solve Problems Essay Contest, along with an amazing opportunity for students and business owners across Ohio.
Thanks again for everything you’ve done to help make this contest outstanding.
All the best,
Alex, Molly, and Nelly
